ABOUT MICE

The House Mouse are generally found in buildings as they like the food and warmth of a shelter for nesting. The House Mouse body length ranges between 6cm-9cm and weigh less than 25g. Their fur colour varies between light brown and grey.

Mice, like Rats have an acute sense of hearing, and their presence is usually detected from their dark-coloured droppings or damage to stored foods. Mice nibble from many food sources rather than taking repeated meals from the same place, their favourite foods being cereal based products.

Mice can damage properties – they have been know to cause serious house fires by gnawing away the insulation around electrical cables, floods by puncturing pipes and even death by chewing through gas pipes.
